Ndabeni Industria is a popular industrial area south of the Voortrekker Road corridor of Cape Town. It is located about 6 km east of Cape Town city center and is bordered to the south-east by Pinelands and to the north by Maitland.

History background:

Ndabeni is derived from Xhosa. The origin of the name date back to 1890, where the residents of the town asked if the settlement be called Kwa-Ndabeni, which means "place of debate".  In 1927 Langa, a new township was built to replace Ndabeni. Its inhabitants were moved to Langa, 8 km away, and Ndabeni became the industrial area it is today.
